Visiting countries and places could be too expensive if we don’t plan it well. That is why it is always advantageous to maximize our resources especially if we are on a tight budget.
Currently, there is a hype of travelers visiting Armenia due to the fact that it is relatively cheaper than the rest of the world. Plus its natural beauty, medieval monasteries, and spa towns. Even if it does not cost us much to get there, still we have to be wise about choosing which hotel to stay in order to save a bucket.
After careful consideration, we booked Best Hostel Republic Square 3 days before we arrived in Armenia. We initially had another hostel in mind but because of its strategic location, which is within the Republic Square, we believed that we will benefit more from it. Given the fact that there are a lot of things can be done within the area. The location is really a winner!
We booked through booking.com and paid AMD 60,000 (USD 124.22 or AED 468.75) for 5 nights stay in a private room with a private bath. Though we had a “toilet” issue during our guesting, the benefits are still more over the cost. It wasn’t a modern room like those found in the sharing quarters but it was okay as most of our times are spent outside.
What we love about Best Hostel Republic Square is that they have their own customized tours made available to the guests at their option. They can choose from packages 1 to 3, depending on their areas of interests. Package tour per person ranges from AMD 7,000 (USD 14.49 or AED 54.69) to AMD 13,000 (USD 26.92 or AED 101.56).
The price we paid is breakfast included. We had the flexibility to dine between 9.00 am to 11.00 am. Unfortunately, we are out earlier than the time allowed so we rarely had a chance to take one.
We believed that good service is a must for all hoteliers, whether budget or luxury. The hostel’s crew and staff are polite, friendly, and nice. They are welcoming and accommodating. We didn’t have had any problems with them at all. And we miss them already!
