Fridays in Dubai are officially off, a non-working weekend anticipated by many. Most of the time we do eat and sleep during this time to de-stress from the week’s heavy loads. Mixed nationalities from different parts of the world have one thing in common. That is food.
About C. Taste
Situated on the ground floor of Centro Barsha Hotel and located near the Sharaf DG metro station and the Mall of the Emirates, C. Taste is one of the best places to hang out with family, friends, or business partners over a handful of delectable Friday brunch buffet. The restaurant offers their chef’s expertise in international, continental, and Mediterranean dishes served in an array of culinary delights. The ambiance is perfect for a cheerful atmosphere where the tangerine motif is deeply love combined with the hospitable hands of their staff and crew. Timings are from 12.30 pm to 4.00 pm. So if you have enough room in your stomach, sit and try everything until it last to get your money’s worth whilst enjoying the best of C. Taste. Also, to note C. Deli for their tak-away station.
It has always been a good healthy practice to feed our hungry tummies with soup first before savoring the delights of Centro Barsha’s C. Taste Restaurant, another Rotana pride. Tasty soups were served last Friday, their very own cream of wild mushroom and chicken.
This Friday brunch definitely welcomed us with luscious fresh greens and colors! Their salad bar has plenty of options that would really make the vegetable lovers and health conscious goers feast on without limits. Well, we were on a no-diet policy but it was good for us to get some and eat more of these deliciously made salads. Our ultimate favorite is the Levantine bread salad made from toasted or fried pieces of pita bread combined with mixed greens and other vegetables, the fattoush salad.
Also, varieties of white and yellow cheese are too attractive to ignore. Assorted sandwiches and sushi are also found near the salad bar. A friend once told me that English people love eating cheese over a sip of wine.
3. Main course
There was really too much on our plates. This brunch buffet is really a recommendation that one should try. Apart from the lavishly appointed appetizers, we found ourselves caught in a fully loaded main dishes that made us even more hungry. Their hot servings of a semi-spicy oriental chicken roast and tenderly cooked chicken jambalaya rice were already enough to make our day. But a mix of everything is much harder to resist.
Also, a live cooking station for pasta is set so we had the option to choose the kind of pasta we want and the type of sauce that suits our taste buds.
Still, it seemed that it wasn’t over yet until we had successfully taken some big bites on these tempting and watering desserts. Those excellent baked cakes are so adorable to look at. Dare to try?
Potable water is a must and remains to be a healthy option during meals. But we can always add extra colors and flavors to satisfy our thirst. We ordered for 2 of their best sellers, fresh watermelon juice, and mint lemonade.
Friday brunch cost AED 129 per person. Not bad for 3.5 hours of food tripping plus several plates of assorted delectable dishes. We hope you’ll enjoy your Friday brunch too when you visit. Strongly recommended!
